Petals of Peace at the Hurstbridge Wattle Festival

It’s was a joyous celebration of our unique Australian heritage, environment and community.

This annual event in Hurstbridge began in 2004 and has grown in strength each year. This years festival brought some great new attractions and of course the always popular flagship attraction to the festival is the fully restored K class steam engine from Steam Rail Victoria. The steam engine shuttle runs between Hurstbridge and Eltham during the day.

Festival goers can stroll the main street and the various festival precincts in the village, and enjoy a fabulous and extensive array of entertainment.

Petals of Peace, Falun Dafa stall, was also part of this huge event in our green wedge community area of Melbourne. This festival brings thousands of people from different parts of Victoria.

The children and parents were delighted to make the flowers and hear of Jane Dai and Fadu's story.

The weather did bring many different challenges on the day, but as soon as the sun was out again, they would come and make flowers and learn about the practice of Falun Gong. Petals of Peace certainly added a bright and happy vibe to the day.
