Petals of Peace touches children's hearts
Today, we were invited to Wollert primary school (VIC) for Petals of Peace project. Our first impression was the warm, welcoming atmosphere as they found us through the Petals of Peace website. All the children felt emotional when they heard the story of Fadu. Many children wanted to help Fadu and asked if the story was real or fake. They felt happy after making the flowers and kept asking if we could come back to teach them how to make more lotus flowers and do exercises. Students from other grades also asked if we could help them. The assistant principal said that the values of the project align with their values. All the teachers appreciated our activities. Many children from the four classes (grades 3/4) came to us during the break time, repeatedly thanking us for sharing the story and helping them make the flowers.
